The House on Apple Hill Lane
Four small-town neighbors, one fixer-upper, and a decades-old secret that could change everything...
Quinn Whittle made a big mistake.
She bought an old house in a new town... sight unseen. But it's not only the house that has a history. So does Quinn, and her new neighbors are starting to clue in...
Annette Best's realty business is struggling. Then a new face comes to town, and she sees an opportunity to save her company (and along with it, her marriage)... as long as the homebuyer doesn't poke around under the floorboards.
Judith Banks is freshly single but too fed up to date. Or so she thinks. Then her new neighbor hires a local handyman, and she's taken... but only if he doesn't ask about Judith's past.
Beverly Castle had it all. Now she's lost everything, and all that's keeping her going is her job with the Harbor Herald... until an unlikely friendship hatches on her very own street.
If you enjoy women's fiction with a touch of romance and an undercurrent of mystery, you will fall in love with Harbor Hills, the newest saga by USA TODAY bestselling author Elizabeth Bromke. Romance, secrets and mystery, family ties and female friendships abound in this heartwarming saga about four women who find friendship right next door.

The House with the Blue Front Door
Welcome to Harbor Hills, Michigan, where four neighbors find they have more in common than a small-town street and more secrets than they know what to do with...
When a new neighbor moves onto the block, Beverly Castle is curious. The woman, Quinn, has a daughter, like Beverly. And like Beverly's, the neighbors' mother-daughter relationship appears... fragile. Hoping to preserve the peace on Apple Hill Lane, Beverly decides to keep her questions to herself. Until a secret from the past comes rearing its head. The thing is, the secret has less to do with Quinn and more to do with every other woman who lives on Apple Hill Lane.
Can Beverly, Quinn, Annette, and Judith coexist on the same cul du sac? Or will the women behind white picket fences keep their welcome baskets to themselves?

The Housemaid
The Howards don't know who I really am, but I'm learning all their secrets.
It seems like the perfect job. The wages are great, and accommodation is provided within the walls of an actual mansion. Not many little girls dream of becoming a maid, but this is an opportunity for me to get back on my feet. And to revisit my past... But the strict housekeeper, Mrs Huxley, watches my every move, emerging from the shadows when I least expect her. And Lord Howard's son, Alex, takes an interest in me. I'm drawn to him because I know he's bad for me. There's a general atmosphere of unease at Highwood Hall, from the narrow tunnels laced throughout the sprawling house, to the abandoned north wing, rumoured to be haunted. No one outside the hall knows where I work and yet a gift box arrives. One tug of the pretty ribbon unveils a miniature doll version of me trapped inside a dollhouse. In this scene I'm dead, lying in a pool of red paint at the bottom of the perfectly recreated staircase. Someone sent this threatening package to me, but who? And what do they want? All I know is that nothing is what it seems here. And now I know what the Howards are hiding, I could be in grave danger... Rebecca meets Gone Girl in this atmospheric thriller by Sarah A. Denzil, the million-copy bestselling author of Silent Child. Read what everyone's saying about The Housemaid: "A poignant, deliciously dark novel which kept me gripped." Vikki Patis, author of Girl, Lost, ★★★★★ "As the story unfolds and secrets unfurl, it leaves you gasping for breath!" The Hunt for Raubgold
"...a fast-paced read with great descriptions of the European cities and countryside. I bonded with Amy and the writing flowed smoothly. An enjoyable book." —Readers' Favorite
"...an unforgettable read...the thrilling plot, profound historical facts, and perilous missions in The Hunt for Raubgold are sure to keep readers engaged for hours." —Seattle Book Review
In a current day suspense thriller, The Hunt for Raubgold is a story of mystery, intrigue, and the quest of millions who have searched for Raubgold—the gold Germany confiscated in World War II. In book three of the bestselling Amy Prowers series, Katherine Burlake reveals where the past becomes the present.
Nothing brings out the blood in a search as much as the word gold. This gold is different. It represents the souls of the millions of people who were killed in
WWII. The war ended seventy-five years ago, but the search for the gold has never ended.
Governments, treasure seekers, and political splinter groups have failed, since World War II, to find all the gold confiscated from concentration camps and other countries Germany occupied. Today the gold could be worth over a billion dollars to whoever finds it.
- Is it somewhere in Germany or another country?
- Was it destroyed during the war or lost?
- Is the missing gold only a myth?
Amy Prowers's husband was obsessed with finding it. Did he leave clues behind before his mysterious death? A bag hidden for 20 years is uncovered by an avalanche that destroyed a wall in her home. In it is a map and journal. Now Amy intends to find the gold and vindicate his search.
Author Bio:
Katherine Burlake qualified as one of the first women Air Force Officers to attend the Air Force Navy Intelligence School and serve in the Vietnam War. Living in Thailand, England, and Germany led her to the Department of State and Broadcasting Board of Governors reporting on embassy operations globally. She has traveled to over 130 countries including Afghanistan and Iraq. Her vast experiences plus her four years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia bring in the trench action to her engaging novels. Colorado is now her home.

The Identical Opposite
From the award-winning author of The Last Getaway comes a thought-provoking story of intrigue and suspense.
Paula Hickman watches the man with whom she shares a dark history move in across the street. Will he unpack their secrets as well?
Stunned to see that the man's new wife is perfectly identical to her, Paula struggles to maintain her sanity, unable to rely on her own perception of events. When a murder rocks their seaside city of Santa Monica, nobody is certain, not even Paula, if she is the killer.

The Inspirational Leader: Inspire Your Team To Believe In The Impossible

The Introverted Artist: Defending My Art, My Way, Myself
An unconventional blend of memoir, art history, and social criticism which manages to be funny, moving, and controversial all at the same time.
This is the entertaining and personal story of a forty-something woman who decides to become an artist and discovers just how much society is involved in our creative lives. She finds powerful social pressure, not only in the art world but among artists and even in our everyday world, to work and think and speak about art in the accepted way... and that way assumes you are an extrovert.
In art (and beyond), there seems to be universal belief in the importance of spontaneity, originality, and self-expression. We laugh at and yet are impressed by artspeak. We cultivate the mystique around art but also encourage amateurs that everybody is an artist. Most of all, we insist that art is for communication.
Why are these ideas so important in art? Where did they come from? Why does everybody believe in them so powerfully? Downey relates self-deprecating stories of how she came up against each one, and then dives deep investigating these questions.
The art world's focus on these ideas sounds harmless, but Downey shows us how closely they are tied to our society's Extrovert Ideal, and how today's assumptions about artists make the art world an unwelcoming place for introverts.
Sharing stories of hilariously uncomfortable art classes and the ups and downs of faux painting jobs, The Introverted Artist is a vicarious experience in becoming an artist, while also being a short education in lesser-known tidbits of art history that made the art world what it is today.
This book will make you question everything you've always taken for granted about being an artist, and will inspire you to think deeply about what an "artist" really is.

The Last Letter
Independent Publisher Book Awards Gold Medal Winner - Best Regional Fiction
IndieExcellence Book Awards Finalist - Historical Fiction
“I was absolutely mesmerized by this moving novel. Told through the voices of Katherine, the daughter, and Jeanie, the mother—the women weave the tale of their family’s hardships and travails on the untamed plains of the Dakota Territory in the late 1800s. Through sheer courage and immense bravery, they withstood unimaginable tragedy and seemingly insurmountable obstacles to survive. But secrets held close in order to protect would later come back to nearly tear the family apart. But the discovery of a long lost letter would bring clarity and resolution to the pain and heartache the women had endured for years.” —Melissa Foster, NYT and USA Today bestselling author, Have No Shame
Katherine wouldn't have believed it if she hadn't found the letter...Katherine Arthur's dying mother arrives on her doorstep, forcing her to relive a past she wanted to forget. When Katherine was young, the Arthur family had been affluent city dwellers until shame sent them running for the prairie, into the unknown. Taking her family, including young Katherine, to live off the land was the last thing Jeanie Arthur had wanted. But, she did her best and made a go of it. For Jeanie's husband, Frank, it had been a world of opportunity. Dreaming, lazy Frank. But, it was a society of uncertainty-a domain of natural disasters, temptation, hatred, even death.Ten-year-old Katherine had loved her mother fiercely, put her trust in her completely, but when there was no other choice, and Jeanie resorted to extreme measures on the prairie to save her family, she tore Katherine's world apart. Now, seventeen years later, Katherine has found the truth—she has discovered the last letter. After years of anger, can Katherine find it in her heart to understand why her mother made the decisions that changed them all? Can she forgive and finally begin to heal before it's too late? The Last Letter is the novel for every daughter who thinks she knows her mother's story.
“Kathleen Shoop, in her debut novel, has crafted a beautifully written novel that will captivate readers. Evoking the strong emotions that are often found in mother/daughter relationships, Shoop mixes the heartwarming closeness of family with the heart-wrenching pain of betrayal to present a story that will resonate fans of exquisite literature. I look forward to seeing more work from this talented author. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction with a western flair.” —Sharon’s Garden of Book Reviews
“This story is AWESOME. The story itself has excellent flow and the words are woven so that I would at times forget I was reading and just see the story move through me. It is a sad tale, although still beautiful. I also enjoyed all the detail of what a hard life it was to be a pioneer in the Dakotas. How people made a success of it was in part just pure dumb luck, because the land doesn’t seem to help at all. So, go pick up this book—I am giving it 5 stars and permanently adding it to my library to enjoy again and again.” —Lilac Wolf and Stuff Reviews
“Kathleen Shoop hypnotizes readers with her words bringing the story to life in such an enthralling way that it is so hard to put the book down. The Last Letter, the first book in The Letter Series, had me completely hooked. It took hold of me and transported me into the story and into the unforgiving prairie life. I felt all the emotions within it, sadness, joy, loss, grief, anger, frustration, my heart felt as if it was actually about to break as I became completely overwhelmed. The author’s writing is superb and the reason I think I felt so emotional was the pure connection she makes happen between the reader and characters. I find myself now desperately awaiting the next book in the series from this amazing author.” —Sharon Martin, Beck Valley Books

Reviewer's Comments
The Last MacKlenna is a great romantic read. You can't help but ooh and ah at the wealth that surrounds strong leads Elliott and Meredith. Lowry Logan elegantly and purposefully gives her readers a great taste of Meredith's life as president of her family-owned vineyard and Elliott's in the high powered world of thoroughbred race horses. These two broken souls fall deeply in love and we root hard for them to overcome their many obstacles. And I would be remiss if I didn't add that this novel comes complete with a gripping mystery--one that will make your heart pound. Along for Meredith and Elliott's journey are a fine group of quirky, strong and loyal characters. The Last MacKlenna is first in Romance.
Reviewer's Comments
When I first approached Logan's work, I expected to be confronted by a star-trekky series of superficial, time-travel inventions that are ten a penny and simply don't appeal to me at all. How wrong I was. In reality, I found a writer of ingenuity, with a depth of understanding of the human condition and the ability to share it with the reader that far exceeded my expectations. Yes--I have to admit it; that exceeded my expectations of a modern woman and an American woman at that.
Her two novels to date, The Ruby Brooch and The Last MacKlenna, both of which I've read and hugely enjoyed, explore the lives of two women, Kit MacKlenna and Meredith Montgomery both of whom face worlds of adversity and come through them thanks to a mixture of such determination and, it has to be said, pig-headedness, that the reader is drawn into their lives and wants them to succeed.
Their men, Cullen Montgomery and Elliot Fraser, are developed with a deftness of touch that I once again consider exceptional in a female writer. I feel that Logan is a writer to be read, enjoyed and admired, and having found her voice in her work to date, may well produce a contemporary novel of lasting significance. I shall look forward to that.

The Last Monument
Sent from a dark, remote corner of the planet,
And lost in the system for sixty years,
Is about to change the entire human race.
Outside Denver, Colorado, Joe Rickards stands over a small aircraft wreckage, studying burnt remains still smoldering in a field of freshly fallen snow...an investigator for the NTSB, working to carefully roll back the last several hours and identify the cause of the accident.
But this time, he can't.
The details behind this tragedy don't add up. Unlike every other investigation of Joe's career, the facts make no sense. Each new piece of information only makes the accident more mysterious, and more baffling.
Why would a person receive an age-old letter and suddenly disappear into the thick of night...paying to be flown out of a closed airport in the worst possible weather conditions, by a pilot who hadn't had his hand on the stick in years?
With the only surviving relative insisting her grandfather would never have climbed into a small airplane in the first place, even in perfect weather.
A bizarre string of events culminating in a horrible accident unlike anything Rickards has experienced. Leaving his only hope at understanding it in the hands of the victim's sole remaining relative. Beginning with how a mysterious letter could turn up after being lost in the system for sixty years. Sent by someone who should have already been long dead.
A single letter, Joe Rickards is about to discover, with a secret that will change the entire world.

The Last Suttee
"You must come at once if you want to stop the suttee from happening again..." This phone message summons Kumud Kuthiyala back to Neela Nagar, the blue town of her youth, and the shackled life she thought she had left behind forever... As a nine-year-old, Kumud witnessed the brutal and horrifying suttee ritual when her beloved aunt immolated herself on the burning pyre of her dead husband. Years later, Kumud summoned the courage to escape the isolated and primitive town of her youth to start a new life in Ambayu, a metropolitan city. She began as office help at Save Girls Soul Orphanage Center and progressed to become its director. At SGSO Center, she becomes a warrior for women's education and equal rights. She teaches young women to protect themselves from outmoded practices and rituals that victimize women. Then a phone call informs Kumud that the suttee of a sixteen-year-old is inevitable. She has vowed that she will never let it happen again. Still haunted by her aunt's suttee, she leaves everything behind, including her love, Shekhar Roy, to end the barbaric custom that scarred her for life, and to save the young bride from committing suttee. As Kumud travels back to the town of her youth, long-buried memories resurface and force her to remember the life from which she fled. The town that greets her is full of contradictions. It has electricity and clean water, and a new school is open to low castes, yet superstition and prejudice abound. How can she convince the town that their centuries-old tradition is cruel and barbaric, that a widowed young woman deserves the right to live? Can she change the minds of the townspeople and the Five Elders before it's too late?

What if we were to interview our employees and ask them, what makes a great leader? What if research was done to determine how leaders get better as a result of asking those being led? What if we took some of that advice from their perspective and put the results in an easy-to-read book? You will be surprised at what we discovered. The stories they shared will give you great perspective, and Scott shares some of these in this book for you to grasp a deeper understanding of what they desire in a leader.
If you are looking for a different take on getting better as a leader, then this is the book for you.
Whether you are a high-level executive, a business owner, or run a small team, you will garnish some golden nuggets that you can implement right away.

The Liars
From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes The Liars, Book 20 of The Seaside Saga.
Behind every cottage door is a liar. Look past the tended lawns and screened windows open to the sea breeze and dusky porch lights shining on waning summer nights. And listen closely. Are those whispers of swaying marsh grasses? Or hushed secrets floating in the salt air?
Walking the sandy roads, it's hard to tell. There. There's the imposing Barlow cottage on the bluff. Elsa's shingled inn by the sea. The Fenwicks' last-standing cottage on the sand. Cliff's ramshackle beach trailer. Celia's tucked-away guest cottage. And Shane's little rented bungalow. In the New England beach town of Stony Point, some of these weathered cottages hold their secrets well. In others, the lies are beginning to show.
And The Seaside Saga continues.
